Interested in Membership?

The Dream Team have been supporting supportive housing since 1999! This unique initiative has brought together survivors from all walks of life, and enabled them to collectively be researchers, advocates, storytellers and community folk for the greater good. If this sounds like an endeavor for you, hop on board!

Membership Application

How the Membership process works is prospective Members introduce themselves at the next available GMM (General Members Meeting) to the Team. They may be asked to provide a bit about themselves and their interest in being a Dream Team Member. The Team will decide to vote in the prospective member at the same meeting. Although it is preferred that prospective members have lived experience with homelessness/supportive housing, it is not a requirements. Prospective members with mental health and/or addiction experiences are welcome to apply as well.

if you are voted in as a new member, Anthony/Ingrid, the Coordinators of the Dream Team, will then contact you in order to discuss what specific aspect(s) of the Dream Team you are interested in along with your schedule availability and to ensure you understand the intricacies of membership. Please note that for any engagements involving travel, your transit fare will be provided (in addition to the general Honorarium provided for all engagement).

Although everyone who applies will have the opportunity to present, right now the Dream Team is especially interested in diversifying it’s membership base, and would love to hear of your interest if you are additionally in one of the following groups:

  • Youth (18-29 years old)

  • Members of the LGBT Community

  • People of Colour/Racialized People

  • Indigenous Peoples

  • Immigrants & Refugees

Please fill out the form below. Please give a few business days following completion for a Dream Team Coordinator to follow up with you.
